Check-ER, the app by two Sofaer alumni, is the optimizing wait times in Emergency Rooms

Leon Hulli and Rachel Bodkier, two Sofaer Alum based in Tel Aviv, developed Check-ER, a mobile app to optimize the wait time in Emergency Rooms. Check-ER calculates patients waiting time by connecting to a hospital’s administrative data, and then organizes the queue based on a preliminary diagnosis, giving priority to urgent cases.

Leon and Rachel were among the winners of Darmstadt Merck accelerator program 2016, which supports different start-up teams around the globe who create innovative digital solutions for the medical field.

Michael Gamber, Head of the Merck Innovation Center, said he looks forward to how the start-ups will develop in the accelerator program. "With our selection for the Darmstadt and Nairobi Accelerator Program we set the agenda with topics of global importance, living up to the program’s international orientation," he continued. Congratulations to Leon and Rachel!
