The Studio for Entrepreneurs

Thuong (Vietnam); Ariel (Israel); Nina (USA) | Class of 2014

The MBA program provides tools and knowledge via its courses and internship programs; exposure and contacts via its networking, guest lecture and mentoring programs; and orientation to, and support in, looking for a job via the Career Management Center (CMC).

For entrepreneurs, however, the above mentioned resources and services are often not enough. The entrepreneurial process is full of unexpected hindrances which can cause many people to give up before their dreams are realized.

The goal of The Studio for Entrepreneurs is to guide entrepreneurial students through a personal process of self-discovery in order to locate their true passion and the barriers that can inhibit its pursuit.   Participants will discover hidden weakness and how to keep progressing with enthusiasm when it seems things are falling apart.  Participants will face experiences that emerge during an entrepreneurial journey (theirs or others) to develop the ability to cope with difficulties and improve capabilities to recover from them. In addition, they will learn how to use chaos and uncertainty to their advantage.

To move things from theory to practice, The Studio is delivered as a practical workshop and runs over a 3 month period.  It includes 8 group meetings and 8 personal and team coaching sessions.

For those who choose to embark upon its journey, The Studio often becomes a pillar of their MBA experience.

How does it work?

During the program, two amazing mentors, Ofer Glazer and Tzachy Milman, guide our students through a three- month personal process of self-discovery in order to locate their true passion and the barriers that can inhibit them pursuing it.   The students take part of different experiences, and face challenges and obstacles that emerged during an entrepreneurial journey or their personal lives in order to better develop their ability to cope with difficulties and improve capabilities to recover from them. Studio is consisted of eight group meetings and eight personal and team coaching sessions.

As one of the Studio graduates says: "Ofer and Tzachi were phenomenal in their work in Studio. For me, they gave me renewed confidence in myself, in my natural abilities, and helped me realize what was holding me back (namely, being afraid to look silly in front of others). Their non-traditional, fun & exciting, and very effective techniques and games really made an impact on me. Additionally, Ofer and Tzachy would continuously go out of their way to schedule in personal meetings, where we would be able to talk about different strategies for my own personal growth. They truly cared about my development."
