Dr. Iris Ginzburg, IMBA Head of Program
>> In 2010, Business School Dean Prof. Moshe Zviran and I launched Tel Aviv University's MBA in Management of Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship (MoTIE) in Tel Aviv, Israel.
I am excited to announce, that as of the 2015/ 16 academic year, I will become the Head of the Sofaer International MBA (IMBA), in addition to my responsibility as Head of the MoTIE program. The Sofaer International MBA is a 1-year program designed for international students, Israelis and Palestinians.
Now in its 8th year, the Sofaer IMBA has had a profound impact on the Faculty of Management. Appropriate to its name, the class holds around 50 students from 16 nationalities and regularly hosts a remarkable group of leading international professors. We deliver shared courses and international study tours with partner-schools abroad; we launched the Faculty of Management's international case competition, and built the foundation of the School's Career Management Center, the first of its kind in Israel.
The professional and academic path, leading me to become Head of the Sofaer International MBA position has been an adventurous one, to say the least. I hold a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics, a Ph.D. in Physics ("Artificial Neural Networks") both from Tel Aviv University. I also earned a M.S. in Management of Technology from MIT Sloan School of Management.
My professional career started with software engineering. I later took a business consulting position (PWC). I co-founded a mobile commerce start-up. I was privileged to found IBM's Global Innovation Management Practice. In 2008 I launched Demaya, a boutique strategic innovation consulting firm applying theory, practice and experience to help leading multinationals to cross the muddy waters of innovation in a competitive landscape.
Today, I am thrilled to apply my professional experience, industry connections, and MoTIE track record, to the Sofaer International MBA.
Together with the IMBA Team, we have been working diligently to improve the program's focus, to make it relevant, agile and future-ready. Under my stewardship, the IMBA and MoTIE will work together to provide an education suffused in Israel's unique flavor of entrepreneurship and innovation.
It is with pride and great pleasure that I share the news of my new position. We are constantly looking for great people to join this journey – students, partners, teachers and friends of the program. I invite you to connect with me!
