“Sitting in a classroom and learning the basics of business is critical for an MBA, but the Sofaer IMBA compliments those lessons with weekly speakers in Recanati and an offering of conferences and meet-ups in Tel Aviv that both inspire and connect the students to next-step ideas.”
Why did you decide to pursue an MBA?
Since I began working in the high-tech industry, I found myself successfully tackling new goals and moving forward with my career on a yearly basis. However, in the last few years of my career I was left wanting more and sought to compliment my field skills with the concrete lessons that an MBA can offer. With the toolkit of an MBA and a year spend fostering relationships in the industry, I was sure that this degree would serve to help achieve my long-term career goals.
Why did you choose the Sofaer IMBA?
After working in London this past year, I was ready to peruse my MBA and move back to Tel Aviv. When considering the various programs the country has to offer, it was important to note that the Sofaer program is both AACSB accredited and is located in Israel’s hub of business and culture.
What excites you most about the program so far?
The program derives its excellence from a synthesis of factors, but the thing that excites me most is the experiential learning aspect. Sitting in a classroom and learning the basics of business is critical for an MBA, but Sofaer compliments those lessons with weekly speakers in Recanati and an offering of conferences and meet-ups in Tel Aviv that both inspire and connect the students to next-step ideas.
Do you have anything to add about yourself, your goals, priorities or time commitment that would be relevant to share with applicants?
It’s important to take full advantage of the activities that Tel Aviv has to offer as a start-up city, and let those events compliment and influence your learning. The program itself is an intense year of academic work, and it would be simple to spend one’s time studying 100% of the time. The beauty of this MBA is that we have a full year dedicated to it and it will only serve to help students if they balance their school work with career-oriented groups, programs, meet-ups, etc.
