Scaling Up Ventures:   Global Strategy and Growth Processes

Learn from a Leader

Special guest lecturer, David Siegel, former CEO of Meetup, Investopedia, and Seeking Alpha, shares 25 years of experience in building and scaling up global organizations.

About the Course

This course provides the analytical tools and practical skills needed to design effective strategies, launch entrepreneurial initiatives, and scale organizations internationally. Students will examine entrepreneurial operations, funding approaches, and cross-border growth models while developing the leadership capacity to drive innovation both in startups and within established organizations.

Through global case studies (including ventures outside of technology), the course emphasizes navigating cultural differences, managing diverse teams, and fostering innovation. A distinctive feature of the class is its “choose-your-own-adventure” segment: at the start of each session, students shape part of the agenda by selecting the entrepreneurial challenge they wish to explore further.

Taught by an accomplished executive and educator with multiple successful exits, this course combines practitioner insights with leadership development, preparing students to thrive in entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial roles worldwide.
