Academics - Graduate

Exams and Assignments

First Semester Examinations

Exams are held during the 2-3 weeks following the end of each module. All students are expected to attend all their exams with no exceptions. Failure to attend an exam will result in a failed grade. All courses require a written end-of-term exam or summarizing assignment. Some also require an additional individual or team assignment to be carried out during the term.

Exceptions

Students will be permitted to take an exam on an alternative date only for the following reasons:

  • Illness –  a doctor’s note must be provided
  • Overlapping exams
  • Having given birth within the 3 weeks before the exam

An alternative date will be approved by the Exchange Office only. Students are not allowed to contact the instructors directly about an alternative exam date or for permission to take their exams abroad. Permission to take an exam abroad will only be approved by the Exchange Office in emergency situations and with the approval and supervision of the home university.
